CONCEPTION OF CHOICE AS AN ELEMENT OF THE THEORY OF MAKING DECISIONS

Abstract

The authors proceed from the fact that choice is a central core in any procedure of making decisions and interpret choice in the context of the general theory of selective processes (Vnutskikh, 2006). The article considers the problem of “free will” and rationality of choice. The authors suppose that its solving is possible if we accept the thesis about producing and practical essence of a man, and also the idea of “possibility hierarchy”. In their opinion such approach will help develop a conception of choice and making decisions as an “accidental necessity”.
