DESTRUCTION OF RUSSIA’S SPIRITUAL VALUES AS A GOAL OF MODERN CIVILIZATIONAL WARFARE

Abstract

Introduction. Today, in the era of radical geopolitical clashes, the issue of the value bases of strengthening and developing the Russian state and society arises with particular acuteness. The authors of the article assume that the specifics of the current socio-political transformations can be described in terms of civilizational confrontation or “civilizational war”. The purpose of the study is to identify axiological aspects of the civilizational war, the main goal of which is the destruction of Russia’s system of spiritual values. Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the civilizational approach, based on the idea of culture as a spiritual formation, which is based on a certain value system, as well as historical and comparative methods that allow us to assess the dynamics of civilizational interactions. Scientific novelty of the research. The article provides a consistent argumentation of why spiritual values, along with territories, industrial potential, natural resources, can and should be considered as the most important goal of the civilizational war that the collective West is currently waging against Russia. Results. The article reveals the main directions and goals of the civilizational war. Among these directions there are the replacement of traditional values with anti-Christian, postmodernist morality, or more precisely, amoralism; reduction of the level and quality of the education system on the basis of the Bologna system; detachment of the consciousness of the population from the national historical roots; incitement of confrontation of separate groups of the population on national and confessional grounds. Conclusions. The authors of the article come to the conclusion that the uniqueness and originality of the value core of the Russian civilization makes it possible to talk about successful resistance to the pressure of the West in the conditions of the civilizational war.
