The essence of the Absolute as the ‘alpha and omega’ of any type of worldview – mythological, religious, philosophical, scientific, and artistic-aesthetic (except for the everyday mundane) – belongs to the category of ‘eternal’ and therefore always relevant philosophical problems. Comprehending the Absolute requires a classical philosophical style of thinking, represented in the works of Plato, but practically lost in the era of postmodernism. In this situation, the author of the article sets as the goal and dual task of his research the ‘revival’ of the classical philosophical style of thinking in the comprehension of the Absolute, which allows us to answer a number of fundamental questions: 1) What is the Absolute and what is its essence? 2) Why does the Absolute manifest itself in existence as the unity of being and non-being? 3) How does the Absolute manifest itself in being and thinking? 4) How can the Absolute be known? The main result of the research is an understanding of the energetic nature and essence of the Absolute, the reasons and types of its manifestation in being, as well as the corresponding types of knowledge. The search for parallels between mysticism, metaphysics and physics has made it possible to construct a hierarchical series of truths, the different scales of which reflect not only different degrees of comprehension of the Absolute, but also the principles of the organisation of being, as well as the corresponding levels and styles of thinking. The systematisation of views on the nature and manifestation of the Absolute can contribute to increasing the practical effectiveness of the rational way of knowing the world, as well as to a deeper understanding of the unity of ontology and philosophical anthropology.
