POWER AND THE FAR EASTERN PEASANTRY IN THE GRAIN PROCUREMENT CRISIS OF 1927-28.

Abstract

The article describes the features of the grain procurement crisis of 1927-28 in the Far East. It is shown that the crisis was not caused by objective reasons, but by the change in agricultural policy of the state. Social and political implications of the crisis are identified.
