Abstract

The results of an empiric study of the features of value orientations of federal civil servants of the executive power territorial bodies are presented. A comparative analysis of their value views and the results of investigations conducted with representatives of other socio-professional groups in other regions of Russia is done. It is established that specific principles of life are the behavior regulators in the value consciousness of an individual civil servant. The private life values prevail over the values of professional self-fulfillment. The conformist values largely determine the consciousness and behavior of civil servants. The structure of their value representations coincides largely with the world of values of students and differs from the value orientations structure of entrepreneurs.
