Abstract

The article deals with the main source of law in the State of Russia in the first half of the XIX century Code of Laws of the Russian Empire. It focuses on analyzing validity of the Code of Laws of 1832 and subsequent editions of 1842 and 1857. The study is based on the available historical and legal research, legal documents and archival data.
