ANDREI TARKOVSKY: APOCALYPSES AS A DIAGNOSIS OF MODERN TIMES

Abstract

The paper explores the pictorial images in Andrei Tarkovsky’s films. The author gives the meaning of eschatology ideas, expressed verbally and visually, in films of the director. The paper is a follow-up to the publishing cycle considering a scientific discussion on main issues articulated in thy study of M.V. Chekmarev and A.S. Chuprov (Society and Power. No. 4, 2011).
