CULTURE OF ADOPTION: DEFINITION, CULTURAL MARKERS AND KEY COMPONENTS

Abstract

The paper articulates the meaning of the term ‘culture of adoption’ from the perspective of the cultural approach in terms of value and norms. The paper suggests key cultural markers that ensure performing of comparative analysis of culture of adoption in Russia and the USA. Drawing on the provided definition and set of markers, the author determines substantial components of this culture. These are presented in a design form which articulates the social and cultural cycle of events and represents phenomenon in its integrity inclusive of all mechanisms in optimal form.
