THE INSTITUTION OF STATEHOOD IN MEGAHISTORY: ITS PAST AND MODERN STATUS AND PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of historical evolution of statehood and looks at its future development prospects. The author analyses the different stages of development of the institution of statehood in history and marks a cornerstone criterion of its transformation – satisfaction of basic needs for humans and human societies. Past the rise of legal state providing basic organization for the modern socium, and the social state, that guarantees satisfaction of the population’s basic material needs, the author foresees the emergence of moral state with moral development of a person as the focal point of its activities.
