HISTORIANS ON DEVELOPMENT OF TANK MANUFACTURING IN THE URALS DURING THE THIRD 5-YEAR CYCLE (1938-JUNE 1941)

Abstract

The article looks at the coverage of the development of tank manufacturing industry in the Urals during the third 5-year cycle. The article aims to analyse the degree of research for this topic in different periods of historiography, the role of military industry in the development of the Urals economy and finally the most important question – whether there existed a tank military industry in the Urals in 1928-1941.
