Abstract

The article is focused on one of the underinvestigated issue in the human sciences – the issue of ecological and valeological memory in individual and social awareness of the population of the contaminated territories. The article is based on the results of monitoring a number of social, economical and valeological research conducted at the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of RAS in 1992-2012 in the towns and villages of three regions of the Urals (Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Kurgan), situated at the “East-Ural area of radioactive contamination” (VUTRZ).
