Abstract

The article observes how different strategies of ethnic policy influence the legitimacy of power. The main attention is given to the connection between strategies of ethnic policy and political ideologies. The author comes to the conclusion that in the modernity the effective management of relations between different ethnic groups needs permanent renewal of the ethnic policy strategy.
