POLITICAL AND LEGAL STATUS OF A PERSON DURING THE PERIOD OF MUSCOVY: ARCHAIC OR MODERN?

Abstract

Political and legal status of a modern Russian citizen is not equivalent to the status of state officials. It retains some features of archaic relations of domination and subordination. As the historical basis of this situation the author examines the status of a person during the age of Muscovy, which is defined as a private public citizenship.
