THE ECONOMIC MODEL OF IDENTITY AS EXEMPLIFIED BY POLITICAL PROTEST MOVEMENTS

Abstract

The article considers the processes of protest identities formation (as exemplified by Russian opposition). In our view, some aspects of these processes can be explained in terms of «identity economics» approach (G. Akerlof and R. Kranton). Our purpose is to adopt the economic theory into specific area of political protests situations.
