BETWEEN THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENTAND SPANISHCATHOLICISM: EVENT OF PADRE A.J. RODRIGUEZ

Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of ideas, view and values of outstanding Spanish theoretic of medicine and catholic philosopher of the second part of XVIII century Antonio Joseph Rodriguez. In spite of belief widespread in modern liberalism, his political and ideological paradigm between potentially liberal conservatism and traditionalism supposed to achieve ideally valuable and politically ideological consensus between scientific progress(scientist) and religious tradition (believer). This paradigm formed the basis of activity of those liberal Catholics, which form “mainstream” in modern Catholic church (after the Second Vatican Council).
