THE PROBLEM OF IDENTIFICATION OF THE POPULATION OF KAZAKHSTAN AND KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of identification of the population of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The issue arises most acutely during the formation of new states in Central Asia. In the article the author tries to conduct a comprehensive study of the problems of identification of the population on the basis of statistical data and results of sociological research. The author analyses the various factors that shape national and religious identity of the inhabitants, as well as state symbols and place names, ethnic geography of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
