THE CARE OF IDENTITY: LIFELONG EDUCATION VS DISAPPEARANCE OF ONESELF IN METAMODERN PERIOD

Abstract

The article is devoted to the formation and development of pedagogical concepts of lifelong education, which significantly changes self-understanding of a human. At the beginning of the third millennium such education is a special “self-care”, that means the care of identity in the era of metamodern. The origins of this understanding are in the ancient era that put forward a conceptual idea of taking care of oneself a person able to carry out educational care of one’s own identity. Genesis and modification of the category of “self-care” are shown as support ancient and modern strategies of continuity in the implementation of educational routes of people of different ages.
