Abstract

The article is devoted to analysis of recent changes in the legal organizational and territorial principles of local selfgovernment in the Russian Federation. The characteristic of the some separate elements of the legal status of new types of municipalities urban district with urban division and inner city areas is given. The author considers positive and negative points about the implementation of a new method of substitution of the post of head of the municipality.
