FEATURES OF THE SOCIOLOGICAL APPROACH TO THE CONCEPT OF "PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY"

Abstract

The article presents an overview of theoretical and methodological approaches of the concept of «professional identity». Conclusions about key aspects of the sociological perspective of «professional identity» were drawn on the basis of the interdisciplinary and sociological concepts. The concept of «professional identity» is developed on the status and roles theory, the value approach, sociology of professions, sociology and psychology of labor. As a result some objective and measurable indices of professional identity were suggested.
