SOCIAL COMMUNITY AS A PROBLEM AND AS AN EDUCATIONAL MISSION

Abstract

Contemporary education is undergoing reforms: it’s a common state of things in the world, and the reforms of Russian education are connected with the reforms taking place in Europe. In such a case it’s utterly important for philosophers of education not only to react to both dominating trends of educational policy and challenges of informational epoch but also to ask questions about the mission of education rethinking and rechecking actual social ideals of Russian education. The article considers the problem of perception of sociality connected with education, viewpoints on the social mission of education in different social and philosophical prospects and dwells upon the choice of model of social community with regard to Russian education.
