THE MAIN VECTORS OF DEVELOPING NATIONAL IDENTITY AS A KIND OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL REFLECTION

Abstract

The article analyzes the background and the results of forming national identity of a certain type in post-Soviet Russia. It has not come to the level a civil nation identity and has composite forms combining indicators of a state and a “small motherland”. New symbols, rituals, holidays, educational and outreach efforts are essential. As a result it will help raise the level of social reflection containing positive directives and formation of identity of a systemic type.
