THEORY AND PRACTICE OF LEGAL SOCIALIZATION IN THE CONTEXT OF CURRENT POLITICAL VALUES

Abstract

Over the last years the problem of legal socialization has attracted researchers’ attention to a great extent. The article points out indirect dependence of the given scientific discourse on scientists’ political preferences, gives estimation to the impact of political values and understandings on developing the theory and practice of legal socialization. The authors admit that over the last years methodological approach to studying problems of legal socialization has been the most effective, the method was developed on the basis of the theory of cognitive development. In the context of the given approach there was created a methodology of spontaneous and selective associations. The use of this theory made it possible to estimate the attitude of young Russian citizens to the representatives of three main branches of state power, which owing to their social status are influential agents of legal socialization.
