"THOUGHTFUL INCOMPREHENSION" AS TOLERANCE OF THINKING IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF HOLISM

Abstract

The article considers the concept of the phenomenon of incomprehension in the practice of mental activity. The topicality of the article is defined by peculiarities of development of philosophic thought in modern world, pointing at the necessity of transdisciplinary view of life and a man in connection with which there is a paradigm forming in scientific cognition at present, known as holistic. Proceeding from this paradigm the article is aimed at proving the value of the phenomenon of incomprehension in mental activity with the help of possibilities of categorical resource of the notion tolerance and holistic worldview. The author makes a conclusion that tolerance is presented as liberality towards a perceptive subject’s own thinking which becomes a factor of tolerance towards the Other and as a result a factor of immersiveness into the Whole transforming a man.
