INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF CIVIL SOCIETY AND THE PROCESS OF REFORMING THE SYSTEM OF SELFGOVERNMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

Abstract

The author considers the process of transforming of the civil society in the Republic of Poland in the period of transition from the regime of “people’s democracy” to the multiparty parliamentary system. The author analyzes the influence and interrelation of the process of institutionalization of Polish civil society and reformation of effective system of local government institutions.
