PERSONAL IDENTITY IN THE UP-TO-DATE RESEARCH AND SOCIAL SPACE

Abstract

The problem of personal identity is the discourse of the last decades, especially its ethnic aspect, but in this process there is no unique typology or classification. Each researcher considers a particular side of the process. The authors suggest a classification of identities, which presupposes “objective” and “subjective” procedures without which the process of identification itself is practically impossible. The authors emphasize that identification is a process and the result of interaction among biopsychosocial processes.
