REFORMS OF THE SYSTEM OF CHURCH AUTHORITIES OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH OF 2009-2013: PROGRESS AND RESULTS

Abstract

The article deals with the most significant reorganizations in the system of the Russian Orthodox Church management in the years of patriarch Kirills’s rule. Among them there are changes in the Statute of the Russian Orthodox Church, eparchy fragmentation, creation of a new metropolitanate system. It is the author’s opinion that this has put the Church in a completely new position and changed the power balance that existed earlier.
