Abstract

The article is devoted to the legal analysis of the latest changes of territorial basis of local government in the Russian Federation and aspects of empowerment of local government and bodies of state power in this sphere. The author makes an attempt to analyze changes of territorial basis in direct connection with redistribution of empowerment of bodies of public authority. The author also touches upon the aspects of legal standing (as for the competence) of particular kinds of municipal formations and their bodies.
