INTERNAL SUPPORT OF A LEADER AS A FACTOR OF FOREIGN POLICY IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERNATIONAL CRISES

Abstract

In the function of the variable which determines the choice of a strategy of a state behavior in the course of international crisis the author takes expenditures of a political leader connected with the lack of support of his decisions by different internal audiences. On the basis of reviewing the results of theoretical and empiric researches the author analyzes the importance of supporting foreign policy course by representatives of political and military elite, and also by common voting public. Peculiarities of domestic policy support of different segments of the society in democratic and autocratic states are discussed.
