TRANSFORMATIONS OF BIO-POWER IN THE CONTEXT OF ANTHROPOLOGICAL CRISIS

Abstract

The article analyzes transformations of bio-power in the context of general anthropological and especially sociobiological crisis. It is shown that at present bio-power is expanding the area of its application, actively penetrates into different spheres of life with the help of the tendencies of medicalization. At the same time bio-power is still a continuation of economic power built on ideas of controlling and consuming. A crisis motivates transforming the essence of bio-power. It should be transformed into the sphere where a man could reasonably manage his biology. It is impossible without a wide implementation of systems of forecasting and planning into a new personalized medicine.
