The author explores the essence of artificial sociality as a potential form of “new normalcy” and describes possible anthropological transformations in the new social reality. The concept of “new normalcy” as a crisis state of society is revealed through economic, political and socio-cultural aspects, and its key features are pointed out. Through the prism of the latter, a special form of sociality forming in the digital society, called “artificial sociality”, is analysed. For this purpose, the main risks associated with the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies (including its hybrid forms when integrated with other digital technologies) in the social, political and economic spheres are considered; their similar nature and ability to reproduce the essential characteristics of the “new normal” are noted. A general description of the essence of the artificial sociality phenomenon is given, its main features are outlined, and it is noted that artificial sociality has all the features of the “new normalcy” in its crisis meaning. The author also describes anthropological transformations potentially possible in artificial sociality, the essence of which is defined in the context of human interaction with artificial intelligence and other digital technologies. The conclusion is made about the marginal position of “reasonable man” in the environment of artificial sociality. In conclusion, it is noted that artificial sociality is still in the process of formation, which means that there is a possibility to avoid the crisis under the condition of equal co-operation between humans and artificial intelligence.
