ENERGY ASPECTS OF GLOBALIZATION: VISUALIZATION AND FIGURATIVE MODELING

Abstract

Introduction. The paper focuses on the social energy categories which were elaborated in pre-revolutionary Russia. One could observe a broad spectrum of science methods at that period and metaphysics was among the most popular. This method was coined to approach the object under study as a whole unit, not fragmented by abstractions of positivistic theories. Thus metaphysics, based on a holistic consciousness, was considered to be the realm of the real. The holistic “metaphysical” approach reveals itself as visual-figurative modeling methodic in the paper. And it is used as part of hermeneutic methodology in order to design a vision of a model of globalization, alternative to the capitalist one and, as expected, fairer. Comparisons of social energy categories in the economic circular flow models are made with the help of visualizations. The purpose of the work is to “recall” the traditions of Russian science, the traditions of working at the highest levels of thinking in the realm of reality, going beyond the space of accessibility. The objectives of the study are to form a holistic view of the heritage of Russian philosophy, solve the problems of restoring the dignity of Russian philosophical schools, substantiating the need to create conditions for a more effective organization of science. The topic of positioning these values in the digital dimension of the modern era is also significant. Research methods. Russian pre-revolutionary philosophy had an advantage over Western schools in that it relied on the imperative of integrity, of the Russian spirit, first of all. The paper claims that the integrity of the worldview, scientific method and the foundations of goal-setting ensured the spirituality of the Soviet project, the development of such system-building ideas as the concept of “social energy”. Scientific novelty of the study. The author uses the hermeneutic method, as well as the methodology of visual-figurative modeling in studies of the research object under its changes. It is also an example of a practical application of the method within the framework of the subject-energy approach. The methodic is also proven to be useful for a comparison of socio-economic strategic structures with different cultural cores. As a result, dissonances with the theories of the “mainstream” are overcome, and an alternative model of globalization is demonstrated in its comparison with the Tangxia system, the theoretical basis of the Chinese paradigm of Civilizations with Development at the Core. Conclusions. The ontologies and algorithms presented in the paper should be applied in development programs in order to ensure the integrity of the natural sciences, as well as the spiritual sciences in the context of development strategies and digital transformation.
