Abstract
Introduction. Recent technological changes are becoming pervasive, affecting not only social structures but also human nature itself, including its biological and mental foundations. This creates a fundamentally new security threat, the impact of which poses a high risk of losing the integrity of human nature. This is happening under the influence of neurotechnology, genetic engineering, bioprosthetics, and various digital practices. Thus, there is a need to develop and study a new category—anthropological security—that goes beyond bioethics and aims to protect humans as a species, that is, as biological beings. The aim of the study is to uncover the philosophical content of anthropological security, influenced by modern innovations such as transhumanism, and its significance for the future of society. Methods. The research methods used were an evolutionary approach, hermeneutics, comparative methods, and the dialectical method. Scientific novelty of the study. The study contributes to the development of a new direction in contemporary philosophical thought—anthropological security. The paper examines new risks and threats to anthropological security in the context of transhumanism and explores the possibilities of overcoming them, for example, through the institutionalization of anthropological security. Results. The world of new technologies is changing humanity, and transhumanism is a direct consequence. Therefore, modern humanity is objectively faced with the task of creating a new culture of interaction between humans and technology, while excluding both their complete fusion and the total rejection of ongoing, natural changes. In this regard, the paper examines the problem of ensuring anthropological security as a means of organizing the progressive and harmonious development of humans in new conditions and preserving the human element in humans. It is noted that an important stage in this process is the development and implementation of practical methods for preserving humans and all aspects of their nature (physical, mental, psychological, cultural, etc.). Conclusions. In studying the problem of anthropological security in the era of transhumanism, it is noted that its implementation must be gradual and comprehensive, based on both institutional and non-institutional tools. The key goal of ensuring anthropological security is to preserve the unity of human nature and the integrity of humans themselves. Thus, the human being, possessing all the attributes of subjectivity (reason, responsibility, dignity, and freedom), becomes the central link in anthropological security.
